COMPOS MENTIS Signs With MIGHTY MUSIC

November 6, 2006

Danish death metal band COMPOS MENTIS has inked a deal with Mighty Music for the release of its second album, "Gehennesis".

Commened the group: "We are very proud to contribute to the revival of the label and we are certain that they will be able to create the deserved attention on 'Gehennesis'. Thus, we are looking very much forward to the coming cooperation and not least the release of the album in Denmark (February) and the rest of the world (March / April)."

"Gehennesis" was recorded at ZigZound studio (NAPALM DEATH, ILLDISPOSED, MERCENARY, HATESPHERE, etc.) and contains the following tracks:

01. The Drunken Diamond
02. The Mind's Eye
03. In the Womb of Winter
04. Portrait of an Attempted Escape
05. Downfall
06. My Suicidal Valentine
07. Faustian
08. Circle of One
09. Tale of the Shadow
10. In the Heart of the Diamond's Secret

COMPOS MENTIS just announced the addition of Ken Holst (BLOODSOIL, ex-ADVERSARY) — who played with the group as a session guitarist — as as a permanent member of the band.

As previously reported, keyboardist Bo Damgaard recently left COMPOS MENTIS after seven years "due to lack of time," according to a posting on the group's web site. Says the band, "We are now searching for a new keyboardist from the Aarhus area. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact us!"

COMPOS MENTIS' debut album, "Fragments of a Withered Dream", was released in January 2003 via Lost Disciple Records.
